Certain implant brands are better than others, and at Bancroft Dentistry, we will only ever use implants recognised by top dental professionals.
At Bancroft Dentistry, we offer tooth-like dental implants, the most tooth-like answer to missing teeth.
Dental implants are pretty extraordinary – they’re the only tooth replacement treatment option that can copy how a real tooth works and looks.
Explore NowSometimes known as the All On 4 procedure.
The All On 4 procedure involves strategically placing 4 implants into either jaw, usually when you have no teeth, or sadly when the teeth that remain need to be removed.
Book Now Learn MoreReplacing a missing tooth with a dental implant is considered to be the closest likeness to a natural tooth possible.
They can be used to replace a single tooth or can be used to support a dental bridge to replace several missing teeth.

In some cases, and because sadly there might be some age-related bone loss, your dentures (particularly the lower ones) may not stay in very well, even with modern fixatives.
The answer lies in placing implants to secure your denture.
Book Now Learn MoreWhen you lose a tooth, you eventually lose your jawbone too. When your teeth are no longer there to simulate the jawbone, it starts to recede.
Bone recession is never a good look for your face, and worse still, loss of jawbone can make you increasingly prone to injuries and fractures.
Implants replace the lost tooth root, giving your jawbone the stimulation it needs to remain strong and retain volume in the cheek area (helping you to look younger)!
Implants are hands down the closest answer to a real tooth. They do everything a real tooth would do, and once your crown has been fitted over the top, they’ll look exactly like one too.
At Bancroft Dentistry we are constantly investing and re-investing in technology to make our jobs easier, more accurate and better for our patients!
Digital X-rays – We have always embraced digital technology in order to get fast instant results and reduce the radiation dose to our patients.
Digital Intra-oral Scanner – This takes the place of dental impressions and improves accuracy in one more step – so useful if you find this step difficult.
CT Scanner – Our jewel in the crown is the ability to take CT scans here in Hitchin (without the needless trip to London as in the past) – we’ve invested in a machine that can take dedicated 3D images for use in accurately planning and placing implants as well as investigating anything dental – useful for our specialists to use on the spot!
Dental Microscope – One for us geeks! But now means our clinicians and more specifically our endodontist can zoom things up to over 30x, so nothing misses our eagle eyes.

We will always find solutions that facilitate our patients accessing an implant. However, in some cases, it isn’t always clinically appropriate to place one.
If you have low bone density, we may refer you for a bone graft to create healthy bone to support an implant.
We can also explore options such as a bridge or a denture to replace a missing tooth.
We believe in fair prices for restorative dentistry services such as implant therapy and rehabilitation. We offer competitive pricing, and 0% finance to ensure implant dentistry is accessible to all.
During your consultation appointment, we will assess your suitability for implants. Thankfully, a lot of research has been done into helping patients with very little of their own jawbone access implants treatment.
With the All-on-4 technique, we can angle the implants at bone-rich sites in your jaw so that you don’t have to undergo a bone graft prior to implant treatment, saving you time, and having to undergo an additional procedure.
In cases where a significant jawbone is missing, we can carry out bone grafts to build up sufficient bone in practice – it’s important to us that you’re able to have each facet of your implant journey carried out under one roof and by dentists you can trust.
It is possible for implants to last for the rest of your life, but the visible restoration in your mouth (the bridge that fits over the top of the implant) is likely to need replacing every 10-20 years.
To make sure you get as many years as possible out of your bridge, practice good oral hygiene to avoid gum disease (which can affect false teeth too!) and visit your dentist and hygienist for regular check-ups.
All-on-4 implants are designed to provide a set of 14 teeth. These are supported by 2, 4 or 6 implants.
All-on-4 is much more cost-effective than getting individual single implants for missing teeth, using significantly fewer implants to support your new false teeth.
The process starts with a complimentary video consultation with our implant dentist Fahd. This is a great no-obligation opportunity to find out more about the treatment and to voice any worries you have – sometimes a chat can be enough to alleviate any anxiety surrounding getting your teeth replaced.
You also have the option of attending a full assessment right away, during which a CT scan is taken to give a more accurate view before a video call. This will give Fahd greater insight into your hygiene status and suitability for implants, saving you time on your route to a full smile.
There is only one surgery needed to receive your dental implants.
If your CT scan demonstrates you have low jawbone density, you will require bone regeneration surgery prior to your implant surgery. Your jaw may take up to a year to heal before we can book you in for your implant surgery. Believe us when we say that it’s 100% worth the wait, as you’ll have a functional set of teeth that allow you to eat, smile and talk freely again.
