Composite bonding can fix the following issues:
- Small gaps in your teeth.
- Minor chips and cracks.
- Misshapen teeth.
These could be anything from wear, shade, shape, small gaps and cracks.
Quickfire Guide To Composite Bonding
Composite bonding fixes cosmetic defects with one or more of the top front teeth that are visible when you smile. It fixes virtually all of the same problems as veneers, but without any drilling or anaesthetic (in the majority of cases).
With it being so minimally invasive and quick to undergo, patients are beginning to have full smile makeovers with composite bonding, not just treatment for a single tooth that might have a crack or chip.
Chat with your dentist.
We always want to know exactly what you don’t like about your teeth before looking at how we can enhance your smile with composite bonding. We’ll also need to check you don’t have any hidden issues like decay or gum disease – as responsible dentists, we never go ahead with cosmetic procedures until your teeth have undergone a full MOT to check for any issues.
Your Treatment
A tooth-coloured composite filling material is matched to your teeth (or lighter if we are going to alter the shade of teeth) – this filling is moulded to create a perfect seamless match. The resins are shaped to look symmetrical with each neighbouring tooth.
The tooth is polished, to give it that unique translucency associated with genuine tooth enamel.
Trust us when we say that not all composite bonding treatment is performed equally (some dentists are better than others!) At Bancroft Dentistry, our clinicians and equipment are more than up to the task of meeting our discerning patients’ expectations.
Dr Andy Bolam is our resident cosmetic dentist (and he won’t mind us saying that he’s also a perfectionist when it comes to carrying out natural-looking results with composite bonding).
He frequently attends postgraduate courses throughout the UK to provide his patients with the most up-to-date treatments and techniques and is a member of the British Dental Association and the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
