In the past, crowns were made of either layered porcelain and metal, or gold BUT nowadays most of our crowns are purely ceramic and match the tooth perfectly. This means no conspicuous black lines around the tooth – it’ll look fully natural once your crown is cemented in place.

Your crown is placed under local anaesthetic, so you won’t feel anything when we place it.
If you’re particularly nervous, we can carry out IV sedation put you under, though you will be fully conscious and able to communicate with your dentist.
