What To Expect

1. Consultation
   A full consultation is carried out to assess your suitability for implants. If you’re clinically suitable, we will take some X-rays and CBCT scans of your teeth. At this stage, we will present you with a fully costed treatment plan for your approval.
2. Implant Placement
   On your implant surgery day, your dentist will go over what to expect from the procedure, reiterating the details in your treatment plan. We’ll do everything we can to help you feel settled – no treatment goes ahead until we know you’re ready and relaxed.If you have requested sedation, this will be administered by a sedation dentist, who will monitor you throughout the implant placement. Your implant is then placed under local anaesthetic.
3. Healing Time
   The average healing time is 3-6 months for a single implant (depending on your individual healing response, age, and lifestyle). We will ask you to come in for check-ups 2-3 weeks after your surgery to make sure everything is as it should be.
4. Your New Tooth
   Your dentist will take impressions of the teeth on either side of your implant. These are used to create a bespoke crown, which will capture the natural characteristics of your existing teeth and complement your facial aesthetic.
5. Your New Smile
   Your crown is placed under local anaesthetic. Your dentist will carefully check your bite and affix it to your implant.
